WholeRen Education is using Calypso for Cozmo to introduce 38 students to artificial intelligence and robotics. The students are mostly visitors from China who are attending high schools in the Pittsburgh area. On December 3, Professor David Touretzky from Carnegie Mellon University taught a Calypso workshop at WholeRen to help the students get familiar with Calypso and the Cozmo robot. The students then took their robots home with them and are working on robotics demonstration projects which will be presented later this month. Mentors from WholeRen conference with the students once a week to check their progress and keep them on track.
